URLAce.com allows you to create a "short URL" which can be used instead of a "long URL". The following example shows how a long URL can become a short URL.
Short URL's are easier to remember, and they are can be inserted into e-mails without having to worry about the e-mail program chopping up the URL.
URLAce.com gives you two options when creating short URL's: Short URL Redirect and Short URL Rotator.
Short URL Redirect
The Short URL Redirect simple takes any URL and creates a short URL for it. You can create a short URL for any type of URL. It does not matter if the URL is for a web site, web page, graphics, document, file, etc. The short URL will always point to the URL you enter. You can use your short URL anyway you want. Put it in e-mails or use it on websites, blogs, social networks, an any other place you want.
Short URL Rotator
The Short URL Rotator work a lot like the Short URL Redirect. You will get a short URL that you can use anywhere. The difference is that the Short URL Rotator allows you to enter up to five URL's, while the Short URL Redirect work with just one URL. When you use your short URL that you get with the Short URL Rotator, you will be sent to only one of the URL's you entered. Our system will randomly select one of the URL's every time the short URL is used.
The Short URL Rotator is great for linking to different graphics, such as avatars. If you use the short URL as your avatar on a social network or other website, the avatar will change every time someone looks at it.
Note: Some web sites require that your avatar link be a GIF, JPG, or PNG file. You can add ".gif", ".jpg", or ".png" to the end of your short URL, if needed, and it will still work.
